Three21
Three21
-------
A betting game
by WiL of MGG
Made for the H126 circuit jam #2
Topic: 3 hours, 2 colors, 1 board
-------
How to play:
On a new round, 10 cards numbered 1-10
will be placed in front of you, face down.
After making a bet, you will choose
cards from among the unrevealed cards
until you choose to stop (Stand),
go over 21 (Bust), or run out of cards
to turn over.
The Dealer, your opponent, will then do
the same with their cards. Whoever has
the highest score without going over 21
wins the hand, and the money.
If both you and the dealer still
have cards to turn over, the play
continues. If either player has
turned over all their cards, they
automatically Stand and the next
round will begin with a freshly
shuffled set of 10 cards.
Winning:
You win when you Break the Bank;
the Bank currently has $1000, so
you will have to score over 1000 to beat it.

This seems to differ from blackjack in that you get 10 cards up front, and ties are really a tie? What else?
Off the top of my head? There are no face cards. There is only one suit. Players draw from separate decks. Aces are always worth 1. If both players leave at least one card face down at the end of a round, there will be at least one more showdown before shuffling, which means the dealer can stand on lower values than 17 if they've drawn their last card.
